First impressions of the Volta by Fun Factory
It’s been a while since I had the opportunity to review a Fun Factory sex toy. It’s a brand I really like, and I actually had the pleasure of visiting one of their stores during a trip to Berlin a few years ago. I love their pop and modern spirit, the flashy colors, the quirky shapes of their products. In short, I totally adhere to the concept of Fun Factory, and I’ve been a fan of their creations since my Lady Bi .
It is therefore with pleasure that I received the Volta. Upon receiving it, I found the design specific to Fun Factory: the hollow, rounded and white handle, the translucent buttons, the body of the soft silicone toy, and a beautiful flashy color. The surprise was this shape of the Volta’s beak. And above all, to see this beak vibrate: you really see the vibrations, and it’s quite spectacular.
The Fun Factory Volta is waterproof and delivered with a magnetic charging cable and has a battery life of 45 minutes (if you keep it at maximum intensity) to 1h30 (minimum intensity). Silicone is of course hypoallergenic. The sex toy is quite light, and its hollow handle allows a simple and pleasant grip.
The volta has 10.5cm (4 inches) of insertable length and a maximum width of 4.6cm (1.2 inches), so quite manageable for most people.
I liked the look of the vibrator immediately, I couldn’t wait to test these two vibrating tongues at the end!
Fun Factory Volta, My Experience
The Fun Factory Volta is clearly designed for external stipulation, and I wondered if it was only effective when placed directly over the clitoris. The answer is no! The two supple tongues that form this kind of beak can just as easily slide along the lips, kiss the clitoris, or move apart to tickle both the vagina and the clitoris.
The Volta offers 6 vibration intensities and 6 vibration modes, and it’s quite fascinating to see the movement of the two tongues in a random mode of vibration, because you really see the beak open and close.
Inevitably that suggests a rather intense feeling of pleasure. And I can tell you that I was not disappointed.
Solo experience
I turned on the Volta by pressing the Fun Factory button. I was pleasantly surprised by its reasonable noise level! For a sex toy with such power, it is pretty quiet. And for me, this is a very important element, because sex toys that make noises like poorly oiled machines are a real mood killer.
Lying comfortably, I began my exploration: I slid the quivering tongues along my sex, tickling my lips, shimmering over my clitoris. The tip of each tongue at the end is so flexible, you really feel free to move the Volta without fear of hurting yourself. The vibrations are felt in depth and stimulate the entire genital area without even having to make a movement. The difference with a classic vibrator is that the two tongues cover a larger surface and balance the stimulation, without concentrating it on a single point. This also avoids the effect of over-stimulation, which can sometimes be painful. But just in case, Fun Factory has provided an emergency stop button, which allows you to stop the vibrations if you feel that your nerves are going to let go: just press the “Fun Factory” button once at the base of the handle. I used it once when my orgasm was building and I felt it was going to be so powerful that prolonged stimulation was going to be unmanageable. And I admit that I was delighted to be able to put an immediate end to the vibrations so easily, to leave room for the oncoming pleasure waves.
Honestly, I’ve only had high quality orgasms with the Volta so far. And so easily, it’s almost embarrassing. It’s so maneuverable, so easy to position, that once I was sitting cross-legged on my couch, I just slipped the Volta into my panties, without changing position, turned it on and didn’t need to move at all. Well, it only took a few minutes for my orgasm to take over.
In general, sex toys that provide such solo pleasure lend themselves poorly to couple games. Again, the Volta stands out.
Partner Play
I had read on the Fun Factory site that, thanks to its shape, the Volta could also be used on a penis. So I wanted to test the theory with Adam. I lubricated him well, and I started giving him oral sex. I then took the Volta, and placed the tabs on either side of his penis, keeping my mouth on him. I understood from the way his hand tightened in my hair that the double stimulation pleased him a lot.
Another time, as Adam penetrated me, I placed the Volta on my clitoris and held it there as Adam moved back and forth inside my vagina. My orgasm was so powerful it made my head spin.
And as I said above, the Volta is so easy to use, that Adam can use it on me without fear of hurting me, whether on my breasts, in the hollow of my thighs or directly on my sex: he feels more confident with the Volta than with the Lady Bi (which is extremely powerful) and or the Womanizer Premium (which is very precise).
It is therefore a real asset for our games together, both for Adam’s pleasure and for mine!

Cleaning the Volta by Fun Factory
The Volta is not complicated to clean, but because of its shape, care must be taken to clean it thoroughly. To do this, simply apply a sex toy cleaning spray and rinse thoroughly. For this specific sex toy, I also like to use a damp cloth, or cleaning towels, to make sure I have disinfected the silicone at the junction between the two tongues at the end of the toy. Also be careful to dry it well, and store it immediately in a storage pouch to avoid dust. Too bad that Fun Factory does not provide this cover!
In conclusion of my review of the Fun Factory Volta
The Volta is a new favorite of mine! Fun Factory hits hard with this vibrator and its two quivering tongues, which gave me orgasms of a quality rare enough for it to take its place at my nightstand. The sex toy is silent, and has an “emergency stop” function which prevents over-stimulation. It is so easy to handle, that it can really be used in any position, solo or as a couple, on a bed or in a bath since it is waterproof. It is also as well designed to be used on the penis during fellatio as on the clit during penetration. In short, I was delighted with it, and apart from the lack of a storage pouch, I don’t have much to say about the Volta, which I recommend 100%!
