Way back in 2018, Eve got the chance to test a rabbit vibrator that thrusted as well as vibrated. She loved it and so I’ve been curious about trying a prostate vibe that’s similar since. The True Blue Thrusting Prostate Vibrator comes from a collaboration between the companies Evolved and GenderX. That’s the same GenderX who runs the adult content website. According to the box, it’s GenderX that provides the five year guarantee on this toy. While it is GenderX’s name and branding on the box, it would seem that Evolved is the manufacturing company.

Anyway, let’s talk a little more about the toy, the True Blue thrusting vibe for prostate fun. It’s a small to medium sized prostate toy with a 1.25 inches (3.18 cm) maximum diameter and 4.16 inches (10.57 cm) of insertable length. It’s not the narrowest of beginner prostate toys, though I doubt many people will have a problem with starting at this size. Just use plenty of water-based lube, take it slow on insertion and you should be fine.

The toy has two vibration motors, 10 vibration modes and three speeds, so there’s plenty of variety without it overcomplicating things. There is one button on the toy to power on/off the toy and change vibration modes. Mine came without a remote but apparently the latest version on Peepshow’s website comes with a remote, a big plus.

As the name ‘True Blue’ suggests, the toy is blue. I really prefer toys that are coloured rather than black because dust is less noticeable on them. It is made of silicone, which is a very safe material. It doesn’t come with a storage pouch, so you’ll want to get one if you’re to avoid dust build up. The bottom of the toy is made in ABS plastic, another safe material.

The toy is completely waterproof and is rechargeable. On a full battery, the toy lasts between 90mins – 2 hours depending on the intensity of the settings. It takes 2 hours to charge with the provided cable.

Experience using the Evolved Thrusting Blue Prostate Vibrator

Gotta be honest, I’m a fan of this toy. It feels great inside, I can walk around with it, squat and have sex without it falling out. It feels full enough to stimulate the prostate on its own and then there are the two powerful vibration motors.

Now don’t get me wrong, the vibration motors aren’t as powerful as toys like the Lelo Loki Wave, We-Vibe Vector or Lovense Edge 2. However, the vibration strength is still enough to stimulate my prostate well. The extra advantage that this toy has is the thrusting, which I’m going to move on to next.

The thrusting of the toy is subtle, maybe a little too subtle. I mean, this isn’t a big machine, so I could never have expected it to really thrust hard. The range of motion is quite limited, however, moving backward and forward at 0.25 inches (0.64cm). It still adds to the stimulation though and I had fun with the thrusting function. For me though, the powerful vibration motors are what will make me orgasm rather than the thrusting.

You also need to anchor the toy somehow in order for the thrusting to do its job well. For example, I angled my body so that the mattress of my bed pressed against the base of the toy. That’s the best way to get the most out of the thrusting, so that it moves inside your body instead of outside.

The first time I used this toy, I was testing several different kinds of toy. I wanted to orgasm with this toy because I already knew it would be my favourite of the bunch. So the second time I used the toy, I did orgasm with it and WOW. Big orgasm, very happy. I’ve also used this toy twice while having sex and it’s a great extra sensation.

How could the GenderX Thrusting Prostate Plug be better?

Although I really like this toy, there are some areas in which it could work better. The first is in the thrusting. I really like the additional stimulation of the thrusting, however, I think it should be more pronounced. The company is marketing it as a thrusting prostate vibrator, and while that’s exactly what it does, in my opinion we should have emphasis on thrusting rather than vibration. In this toy’s case, it’s mainly about the vibration when you get your hands on it. It’s the vibration that will give you an orgasm. Again, nothing wrong with that, but I think we should have the thrusting taking a bigger slice of the pie in terms of stimulation.

One of the second things I wanted to suggest has already been improved in the second version and that’s the inclusion of a remote. The new version of the toy comes with a remote, unlike the version I’m reviewing here. As far as I know, everything else about the new version is the same as I got with the model I tested during this review.

I’d suggest including a storage pouch too. The toy isn’t in the luxury price range but it’s still a fair cost to most people. I think a little pouch to stop the dust sticking to it would be appreciated by most folks.

The final thing I don’t understand is, what links this to GenderX other than the name? The toy isn’t advertised on their website, though maybe it is behind the pay wall. There should be something that ties the website and the toy together rather than just the name.

Cleaning the Gender X Thrusting Blue Prostate Vibrator

The toy is very easy to clean. Bit of soap and water should do the trick. If you use a sex toy spray, make sure it’s suitable for silicone. The toy is completely waterproof, so cleaning it underwater etc isn’t an issue. If you get the version of the toy with the remote, the remote probably isn’t waterproof, so be careful with that.

Getting dizzy yet with me changing the name of the prostate vibe from Evolved, to GenderX and back again? Yep, me too. Anyway, I really liked this prostate vibrator. It gave me a bit of fun while I reviewed it and that’s always a bonus nowadays. When you’ve reviewed as many toys as I have, reviewing the same kind of thing can get difficult, because sometimes toys are so close to each other in terms of performance that I sometimes feel I’m writing the same article for the tenth time. That isn’t the case with this toy, it is unique for me and I enjoyed using it. Therefore, I think you, dear reader, will enjoy this toy.

The toy isn’t very expensive when you compare it to luxury prostate vibrators, so I’m happy with the performance of this toy. Sometimes you don’t need the best toy, you just need one that’ll get you to where you need to go. This toy got me to where I need to go, it’s easy to understand how to use it and I don’t even need to take out a huge loan to buy it. Pretty neat, right?

The likelihood of me reusing this toy is high, which again, as a sex toy reviewer, that’s one of the biggest compliments I can give a toy. The vibration strength is strong, the thrusting motion is a nice touch, the size is good and it stays inside me when I move around. If I’d had the version with the remote, I’d probably be giving the toy 8 stars instead of 7. In any case, seven stars is a pretty damn good score for this website, so you can buy this toy with confidence.
