I got the opportunity recently to test the Kiiroo ProWand, a lightweight, cordless vibrating wand with app capabilities. How well did it perform? Read my review of the Kiiroo ProWand to find out!

My Kiiroo ProWand is pink, which is at the time of writing the only colour available. This toy is unisex, however, and can be used by everyone regardless of anatomy. I think Kiiroo should put a link to the wand in the ‘For him’ part of their website’s menu too, because it’s a shame that some website visitors will miss the toy. My review concentrates on how the toy performs on a penis.
Some of my favourite toys are vibrating wands. The great thing about them is that they’re simple and and can be more effective than some dedicated penis vibrators. Wands work regardless of anatomy and are very versatile, which is why I like them so much.
The Kiiroo ProWand is a rather small vibrating wand at 21cm long (8.3 inches) and 12cm (4.7 inches) in circumference. The head of the wand is flexible and bends when you push it into your hand or body.

The ProWand has 6 vibration modes built in and 5 intensity levels. My favourite is mode 5, which feels like a strong and rapid pulse. The lowest vibration intensity is very light and rumbly. It would be good to tease with or just relax. The most powerful vibration level is pretty strong. Not as strong as something like the corded Doxy (review here) or the Domi 2 (review here) but still powerful enough to make me orgasm within minutes.
One area for improvement is the fact that the wand doesn’t remember the last vibration pattern used when turning it off and on again. Not a big deal but that adds a nice touch when the feature is there on other toys. The ProWand has a travel lock feature (you need to press the power and minus button for a while to activate and deactivate it). I always appreciate a travel lock feature on my toys because I travel a fair bit and like it when I don’t need to worry about toys beginning to vibrate in my bag.

I used the ProWand a number of times to play and enjoyed each time. It never failed me! It works both when I’m in the mood for a relaxed and lazy session with a low vibration mode and also when I need something quicker and more powerful. Sometimes I used it while people were home, so I appreciated the quietness of the lower vibration intensities.
Personally I need lube to use this toy on my penis. Using any vibrating toy on the skin of my penis without lube will quickly cause soreness. I’d recommend having some water-based lube at your side while playing with the toy.
Controlling the Kiiroo Prowand with the app

The ProWand is a connected toy, which means you can use an app on your phone (Feel Connect 3) to control it, use other patterns on it, sync it to compatible adult content and also to add remote partners to control the toy for you over long distance. All of these features make the Kiiroo ProWand a very versatile toy and give you a range of different play options. Personally, I’m old school and prefer my sex toys to be simple, so while I did test the ProWand’s smart features for the sake of this review, my preferred way to use the toy is via its on toy buttons.
I tried the app features and still really like the way the Feel Connect app syncs content to the toy (via a QR code). The fact that it syncs to adult content via a QR code means that I can watch the content on my computer rather than directly on my phone via the app (a limitation of Lovense’s method). The remote partner system leaves a little to be desired. It works well but it’s limited in that I have to add people as friends via the Feel Connect app before they can control my toy. What I like about Lovense’s app is that I can create control links and send them to strangers to control. I’d love to see something like that in the future for the Feel Connect app.
The app allows you to customise the colour of the flashing light on the wand. Maybe that would be useful for cam performers if they needed a certain colour for their brand. For my own uses it’s an irrelevant feature, so I won’t mention more about it.
Other features of the Prowand

Moving onto battery, the ProWand is rechargeable via a magnetic cable. It lasts up to 10 hours depending on the vibration mode you use. Higher power means less time.
Now let’s talk about the noise. The marketing of the ProWand claims that it’s a whisper quiet toy. I wouldn’t go that far. The first vibration’s intensity mode indeed makes the wand very quiet, to the point where your neighbours or other people at home won’t hear it. On the wand’s highest intensity level however, it’s still loud enough for someone in a neighbouring room to hear. I did a test where I left the wand vibrating on its highest level in my bedroom with the door closed. I could hear the vibration through the door. It’s still a quiet toy, however, when I compare it to other toys like the Doxy wand, which is much louder. You can see a video and listen to the vibration of the toy further down this page.

The wand is waterproof, which means two things. The most fun thing about it is that you can use the wand in a bath or shower if you want. A more practical consequence is that the wand is easy to clean. You don’t need to worry about getting charge ports wet. Just stick the wand under running water and clean it with mild soap or a sex toy cleaning spray. Just make sure that whatever cleaning product you use won’t damage the silicone.

In conclusion of my review of the Kiiroo ProWand

I really liked the Kiiroo ProWand. It’s a powerful wand with good battery life, ergonomic controls and a nice looking design. I think Kiiroo are missing out by only marketing the wand to women. I think a lot of anyone regardless of gender would love this toy.
The Feel Connect app could use some refinement to allow strangers to remote control the toys via links rather than me having to add friends for them to control. It’s a really fun way to play and it’s a shame it would require a workaround with the Feel Connect app as it is. I also feel like the toy could include more than 6 vibration modes. While I liked all of the patterned vibration modes (especially pattern 5), I would have liked to have a more random feeling pattern. Something that isn’t as predictable.
Thanks to Kiiroo for sending the ProWand in for review. If our readers want one, they can find it via the link below at Kiiroo’s website.
