To be honest, at first glance, the Love Not War Laska doesn’t look like much. Far from the sextoys that I am used to trying and which always have slightly flashy shades, this one is dark gray . A very sober and discreet color that adapts well to the small, all-purpose format of the Laska. And then, it’s also nice to have a sex toy that is not always pink or purple , as if these were the only colors that could express femininity. It’s a nice change to have a grey toy! I would have preferred a slightly lighter shade of grey for more light, but that’s just a detail.

Apart from its surprising power and intensity, the unique thing about the Love Not War vibrators (this one called Laska included), is that they are made from sustainable materials. The main material of the vibrators is recycled aluminium, the amount of plastic in these vibrators and the packaging has been reduced and even the storage pouch is made from bamboo. So if you like the thought of having a sex toy who’s makers were taking steps to make it sustainable, the Love Not War vibrators might be for you!

The Laska’s control button.

The Laska consists of 2 parts: the body of the rabbit in soft silicone, and the base which is recycled aluminum. The control button is located at the bottom of the Laska, not necessarily the most ergonomical location (I prefer when the controls are along the handle of the sex toy). Yet a simple quick press is enough to turn it on (a long press to turn it off).

The base unscrews and inside the electrical socket is located for charging via supplied USB cable . This is rather well thought out because it keeps the silicone part away from dust while the base charges. And if your parents or friends show up unexpectedly and you forgot that your sex toy was charging on the living room table, don’t worry because it looks like an electric toothbrush base. No one would suspect a thing 😉 This design is also designed as a locking system if you want to transport the Laska: by unscrewing it, there is no risk of it turning on by accident in your bag or suitcase!

The Laska is 100% waterproof and it is rather reassuring that no loading point is directly with water elsewhere! The Laska is supplied with a small storage pouch, which keeps it away from dust. It is light for a sextoy (100gr) but actually that’s heavy for a toy of this size!

That said, its vibrational power certainly justifies its weight.

The other Love Not War sustainable sex toys

Apart from the Laska vibrator, which is the one I am reviewing in this article, the Love Not War sex toys have three other shapes. The same vibration motor powers all of them. I chose the Laska because it looks like a cute little rabbit and I also wanted those ears vibrating either side of my clit. If you want a more classic ‘lip-stick style vibrator’ you should choose the Love Not War Amore vibrator. The Love Not War Liebe is the biggest of all of them and is better at G Spot stimulation. The Love Not War Meile is another style of clit vibrator. If you want to see any of the other Love Not War vibrators, you can find them here. For the rest of this review I’ll be focussing on the Love Not War Laska!

We sometimes tend to underestimate small sex toys. But the Laska proves that it is not always the size that counts! Its small motor offers7 vibration modes and 4 speeds and for your info this vibration motor packs a good punch!

Solo experience

The first time I used the Laska was in my bed, before I fell asleep. I was stressed by the amount of work that awaited me the next day and I needed to decompress and have a nice orgasm in order to find a deep, restful sleep. I grabbed the Laska (which I had slipped in my dresser table drawer thanks to its small size), without expecting much. I turned on the vibrator by pressing the button at the base of its aluminum handle and slid the rabbit’s little ears along my clit. BOOM! Even the lowest vibration setting was electrocuting. So powerful. I definitely did NOT expect such power at the first level of vibration from a small sex toy of this style. Well my orgasm really didn’t take long to arrive, to my own surprise!

The second time I used the Laska it was in my bath. I loved sliding the rabbit’s ears along my body, over my breasts, in the hollow of my thighs… the vibrations were so strong and the silicone so soft that it created delicious sensations on my skin. I wanted to try the other levels of vibration on my clitoris, but very quickly I had to go back to the very first one because the others were so powerful (a little too much so). Frankly, I am not a delicate person when it comes to vibrators and I have already tested quite sturdy sex toys. So this is my main criticism of the Laska… it could do with a subtle vibration mode. It isn’t always pleasant (at least for me) to have a vibrator on such a high setting constantly. Power queens will be happy about that though, I suppose! The 7 vibration modes are fairly well designed, with interesting variations that soften the somewhat brutal power of the Love Not War vibration motor. The level of intensity in a toy does not necessarily equate with the level of pleasure! So this balance that the vibration patterns offer is very welcome. Yet I still feel that even with those, the toy might be too intense for some people.

Lovehoney X Love not War Laska Vibrator review

Adam is always keen to test new sex toys in our bedroom games. He found the Laska super easy to handle due to its size and simplicity of control (a push of the button is enough). He was immediately very surprised by the power of the vibration and he had a little trouble using it on me because he was not sure of the intensity that would suit me and when he tried the 2nd vibration level on my clitoris (already made sensitive by our foreplay) I had to push his hand away because the vibration was a little too intense at that point. Not the best feeling… Adam was also a little unsettled by the power of the vibrations in his hand because the base vibrates so hard that after a few minutes your fingers are numb (the vibrations travel up the handle).

It is also a small regret that I had: the Love Not War Laska is not a vibrator that I can use for a long time or 2 times in a row because my clitoris becomes quite quickly anesthetized by the force of the vibration. I also cannot say that I have had the very best orgasms thanks to Laska because it lacks subtlety for me. That by no means says that the orgasms I have from it are bad. It’s just that several times I had the feeling that my orgasm was a bit torn from me and that it was happening so suddenly and quickly that I did not really have time to enjoy it. The build up to the climax was very short in other words. This is a small downside for me, but this aspect will depend a lot on the sensitivity of each individual! Some Power Queens will be happy about this intensity. We also have to take into account the price of the Laska. It is a very affordable vibrator, not a luxury item. For its price, it does VERY well. If you just need a very powerful sex toy to get you off the ground, look no further! On the other hand, if you already know that you prefer softer, more subtle modes of vibration, I’m not sure the Laska will become your favorite sex toy.

Cleaning Lovehoney’s Love Not War Laska Vibrator

The Laska is fairly easy to clean. Just run it under hot water and apply a cleaning spray for sex toys. Be careful to clean between the rabbit’s ears to avoid the proliferation of bacteria. I also recommend that you dry it and immediately store it in its small pouch because silicone is a real dust magnet.

In conclusion

Lovehoney X Love not War Laska Vibrator review

The Love Not War Laska by Lovehoney is truly a nice little vibrator! Despite its pocket size, it has all the power of a large sex toy. To thrill seekers and Power Queens, I think the Laska can become one of your favorite sex toys. Especially because it fits easily in the drawer of a bedside table, or in a handbag when you want to have a little fun on vacation or on the go. It also has a small storage pouch and a locking system that really facilitates transport. If, on the other hand, you are a little sensitive, the Laska may be too brutal for you. Indeed, the intensity of the vibrations is such that it can seem a little aggressive, numb the hand, and trigger orgasms so sudden that we lose a little the pleasure.
