Review: Lovehoney Cock Ring Set (Extra Thick)

I’ve owned so many vibrating cock rings and like many, I used to think vibration equals better. However I’ve come to learn as the years have passed that sometimes, simple is better. Enter Lovehoney’s silicone cock ring sets. They are sets of three black silicone cock rings that come in various widths. I decided to check out the Extra Thick pack, because I thought they would probably be the most comfortable.

Some years ago I wrote an article on doing a naughty Easter Egg hunt where instead of eggs, there would be small sex toys and accessories. The Lovehoney cock ring set would be perfect for such a gifting situation. They are very inexpensive ($12.99 / £9.99 at the time of writing), simple and small.

The cock rings are made out of black silicone which is great because a lot of budget sex toys use less safe materials. Silicone is 100% body safe and isn’t porous, so they won’t ever be ruined if bacteria grows on them. You can even boil silicone toys in water to remove bacteria etc if they ever get a bit too dirty. The only thing I dislike about these cock rings appearance is their black colour, because I’m just fed up of black sex toys to be honest and it shows up dust too much. With simple little cock rings like these though, that is admittedly less of an issue.

The cock ring set comes with three different sizes. The first has a 1.25 inch diameter (3.17 cm), the second 1.5 inches (3.81cm) and the biggest is 1.75 inches (4.4 cm) in diameter.

Sometimes when I get tired or if I’m physically exhausted, it’s nice to have something to help me keep hard. That’s the classic way to wear a cock ring.

These little silicone cock rings are now always on hand. Whenever I feel like making my penis very hard or when I want to continue having sex for a bit longer, I reach for these. Even my girlfriend Eve sometimes reaches for them and puts them on me, it’s awesome how simple they are.

Make sure you use a bit of water-based lube with these cock rings to avoid them rubbing your skin too much. Silicone is actually pretty good for that anyway but with the friction on the penis, it’s best to use some lube for any cock ring.

Cleaning the Lovehoney Cock Ring Set

These cock rings are made out of silicone so they are super easy to clean. Soap and water, a bit of sex toy cleaning spray and you’re done. They dry fast too, so they really are easy. The only thing I’d recommend is getting a little satin pouch or something from them, because black silicone shows dust really easily and silicone is a magnet for it.

What more can I say?? These cock rings are ridiculously cheap and are in my opinion better than any vibrating cock ring I’ve owned. They are very versatile and can really boost your sex life. Save your money on the vibrating cock rings and go for these. You don’t need anything fancy. Save that money to buy a powerful bullet vibrators or some handcuffs… whatever really! The only one thing that I dislike about the cock rings is their colour (black) but that is nitpicking, these are great and I really recommend them. Enjoy!
